A hinge mechanism 10 includes a body member 13 having a first elongate mounting portion 14 for mounting a first component 16. A second mounting portion 22 is fixed to the first mounting portion 14, at or proximate a first end of the first mounting portion 14, and extends transversely to the first mounting portion 14. The second mounting portion 22 defines a pivot point 24 for pivotal mounting to a second component 20 relative to which the first component 16 is to be hingedly attached.
