PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch that can detect positions of hands and can be reduced in size.SOLUTION: An electronic watch comprises: a scoop wheel 28; a second wheel 84; a second pinion 82; a first motor; and a second motor 80. The scoop wheel 28 includes: one first through hole 282 formed at a position outside outer peripheries of the second wheel 84 and the second pinion 82; and twelve second through holes 283 formed on a concentric circle positioned at an inner side than the first through hole 282 with the same intervals. One third through hole 843 positioned on the concentric circle is formed in the second wheel 84, and a fourth through hole 823 positioned on the concentric circle is formed in the second pinion 82. A first light emission section 61A and a first light reception section disposed opposite to each other with the scoop wheel 28 interposed therebetween detect the first through hole 282. A second light emission section 62A and a second light reception section disposed opposite to each other with the scoop wheel 28, the second wheel 84 and the second pinion 82 interposed therebetween detect the second through holes 283, the third through hole 843 and the fourth through hole 823. |
