PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance auxiliary device that can approach an obstacle.SOLUTION: A conveyance auxiliary device that can be used when a conveying person conveys an object comprises: a drive part that assists conveyance of the object; an operation part that allows the conveying person to execute an operation to the drive part; distance detection parts 3d to 3f that detect distance from the drive part to an obstacle; a control part 4 that controls the drive part according to the operation applied to the operation part by the conveying person, and applies stop control to the drive part when the distance detected by the distance detection parts 3d to 3f is equal to or less than first threshold distance; and an approach operation input part 2i that receives input of approach operation for allowing the drive part to approach the obstacle up to the distance less than the first threshold distance. When the approach operation input part 2i receives the input of the approach operation, the control part 4 suspends the stop control using the distance detected by the distance detection parts 3d to 3f, and then limits speed of the drive part to prescribed speed. |
