PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classification device which can determine the presence or absence of a baggage on a tray regardless of shape of the baggage to be classified.SOLUTION: Trays 20 are provided on a travel truck 2 traveling along a travel rail R and a baggage W is mounted at positions of hand operation place ports A1 to A3 in the trays 20 and the baggage W mounted on the tray 20 is paid at a position of a predetermined classification shute B. At the positions of the hand operation place ports A1 to A3, a two-dimensional laser distance meter 3 for detecting the baggage W held and mounted on the tray 20 by an operator M and the hands of the operator holding the baggage is provided.And positions of the baggage W and hands of the operator and travel speed are calculated based on the detection data by the two-dimensional laser distance meter 3, and the determination that the baggage W is mounted on the tray 20 positioned at position corresponding to a position when calculated travel speed of the hands of the operator inverted is performed. |
