The invention relates to a method for the production of hollow bodies made of high-temperature resistant steel by welding prefabricated, bent sheets or shell-like molded parts, which complement each other to form the hollow body to be produced. It is the object of the invention to further develop the method of said type, so that a better creep strength results even with frequent temperature changes and steep temperature gradients. In order to achieve this object, the invention proposes - that the wall thicknesses of the molded parts in the region of the borders of the molded parts to be welded with one another are designed taking into account the welding seam factor WSF = 1, - that the welded joints are made using butt welds, which are made with the electron beam welding method without filler materials, - and that, after producing the welded joints, the entire welded hollow body is subjected to a thorough heat treatment by means of heating above the conversion temperature, quenching and annealing. |
