In the present invention, there is disclosed a method of compression testing of containers made of plastic or plastic containers within a steel structure, such as IBC containers, wherein the method is characterized in that a container to be tested is arranged and secured for the test period with a device formed by a metallic cage, which prevents deformation of the tested container. The device consists of an openable metallic cage (1), comprised of four walls (2, 3), a ceiling (5) and a floor (10), whereby two perpendicularly joined walls (2) are coupled with a floor (10) structure and two hinged walls (3) are rotatably mounted to these two perpendicularly joined walls (2) on their free vertical edges. Said hinged walls (3) can be connected to each other by at least one closing element. The cage can be produced from rolled sections. The cage ceiling (5) can be hinged with lone of the two perpendicularly joined walls (2) and in the ceiling (5), there is performed a through hole (6) for passing a tested container neck therethrough. The ceiling (5) can be connected by locking clips (8) to the two perpendicularly joined walls (2) and to the two hinged walls (3) wherein said hinged walls (3) can be connected via locking pins (9) with the floor (10) structure (10). The two perpendicularly joined walls (2) and the two hinged walls (3) can be provided with reinforcing ribs (12). |
