The present invention relates to a battery charging apparatus for electric vehicles having a battery protection function. The objective of the present invention is to improve the battery protection function of the electric vehicle by integrating a slow charging part with a battery management system. To achieve the above objective, in the battery charging apparatus for the electric vehicle including a power supply part (10) to supply electricity, a battery (300), and the slow charging part (100) to perform charging of a battery according to a voltage applied from the power supply part (10), the battery charging apparatus further includes a battery protection part (200) to control a charging operation of the slow charging part (100) by sensing an output voltage of an on mode charging part and the voltage applied from the power supply part (10). |
