A mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a touch screen to display a status bar including one or more application items and to acquire drag and selection inputs. The mobile terminal includes a control unit which controls the touch screen to display a running screen image of an application corresponding to the selected application item in the form of the acquired drag input if select and drag inputs for one application item selected among one or more application items are sequentially acquired. According to at least one of embodiments of the present invention, usability can be improved as user convenience resulting from intuitive multi-tasking entrance is provided, and the convenience in the utilization of the mobile terminal can be improved due to a user interface to cover the outside of the touch screen. |
