The present invention relates to a control and management for an unmanned multifunction copier and, more specifically, relates to a control and management system and a method for the unmanned multifunction copier. The system comprises: a multifunction copier mounted to be used in public, including a touch-based terminal having a touchscreen type user interface; and a server to remotely manage the multifunction copier. The system and method provides a user to easily perform work such as copying, printing, scanning, and sending/receiving fax without an additional control device such as a personal computer; thus improving administrative and spatial limitations. More specifically, the sending/receiving of fax in the unmanned multifunction copier is performed through a server such that the sending/receiving of fax is possible without obtaining an additional identification number for every multifunction copier to send/receive a fax; a proxy receiving is possible by only an authentication number without a limitation due to space and time when the fax is sent/received; and the user is also able to control a retention period of the fax stored in the sever or a transmission count of the fax from the server to the multifunction copier. |
