According to the present invention, a method to search for motion information of a multi-layer video comprises: a step of calculating a first feature value of a base layer by using encoding information of a reference block of a base layer in correspondence with a current block of an enhancement layer; a step of obtaining a motion vector initial value of the current block of the enhancement layer based on the first feature value; and a step of estimating the motion vector of the current block based on the motion vector initial value of the current block. As such, the method reduces complexity when an enhancement layer is encoded.
