PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow color sheet-like iron oxide pigment which can smoothly be applied to skin when used in a cosmetic and produce a feeling of a natural bare skin without a creaky feeling to skin and a feeling of roughness, a method for producing the pigment, and a cosmetic.SOLUTION: There are provided an Al-containing yellow color sheet-like iron oxide pigment in which the sheet-like iron oxide, containing 0.1-10.0 pts.wt. of Al per 100 pts.wt. of Fe in a δ-FeOOH generating reaction, the average particle size in the plate surface direction is 0.1-5.0 μm, the average thickness in the normal direction to the plate surface is 20-100 nm, a micaceous state or a platy state in which the average planar ratio is 5/1-100/1 is displayed, and the phase angle tan(b/a) of powder color is at least 50°; a method for producing the iron oxide pigment; and a cosmetic compounded with the pigment. |
