<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which can prevent damages due to an earthquake and is capable of, even when an emergency earthquake prompt report is an erroneous report, resuming machining without requiring a machining resumption operation by an operator, suppressing lowering of machining accuracy, and leaving no traces of suspension of machining on a work. <P>SOLUTION: A body control device 4 is provided with body evacuation control means 62 which makes a machine tool body 1 perform a series of evacuation operations in response to receiving of an emergency earthquake prompt report by prompt report receiving means 61. The means 62 includes a body operation suspending part 62 which suspends execution of a machining program 41 after completing a currently executed execution unit 43 and makes the machine tool body 1 perform the evacuation operations. In addition, it includes a body operation resuming part 66 which, after elapse of a fixed time after the suspension, returns the machine tool body 1 to the sate before the evacuation operations and makes it resume execution of the machining program 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
