EXHAUST NOZZLE CENTER BODY ATTACHMENT

A ceramic matrix composite ("CMC") exhaust nozzle center body (150) may be positioned around an austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloy attachment ring (220). The attachment ring (220) may have a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than the exhaust nozzle. A plurality of bolts (240) may be inserted through apertures (234) in the exhaust nozzle center body (150) and coupled to the attachment ring (220). The bolts (240) may slide within the apertures (234), allowing the attachment ring (220) to expand without applying a load on the exhaust nozzle center body (150).
