The present invention relates to a water-based hydraulic fluid composition which can be used in various hydraulic systems, and more particularly to a water-based hydraulic fluid composition comprising a cellulose-based thickener and non-toxic components in place of components toxic to the human body, which is environmentally friendly and also satisfies physical properties required for use as a hydraulic fluid. More specifically, the present invention provides a water-based hydraulic fluid composition comprising 40-60 parts by weight of water, 30-50 parts by weight of a glycerin compound, 1.0-4.0 parts by weight of hydroxyalkyl cellulose as a thickener, 2.0-10.0 parts by weight of a lubricant additive, 0.1-3.0 parts by weight of an anti-rust agent, 0.1-2.0 parts by weight of a preservative, and 0.1-5.0 parts by weight of other additives. According to the present invention, the water-based hydraulic fluid composition can be prepared using a biodegradable cellulose-based thickener and selected additives harmless to the human body or the like, thereby providing an environmentally friendly water-based hydraulic fluid having a very excellent biodegradability and the like. The water-based hydraulic fluid exhibits very excellent physical properties, including satisfaction of requirements of ISO viscosity grade (VG) 46, and thus can be widely used in all hydraulic systems, unlike conventional water-glycol-based hydraulic fluids. |
