PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of ensuring stability of a user's operation even when an auxiliary handle is not used.SOLUTION: A pressure sensor installed in the recess of a handle mounting part of a power tool body 11 detects the presence or absence of a gripping force by a user of an auxiliary handle 12 having a protrusion to fit in the recess. When the power tool 10 is at work, a relative torque value generated between the power tool body 11 and the auxiliary handle 12 is different between the presence and absence of the gripping force. It is possible, therefore, to detect whether or not there is a gripping force by the user of the auxiliary handle 12 by detection of the relative torque value by the pressure sensor. When it is detected that the auxiliary handle 12 is not gripped by the user, the control unit stops a supply of driving current to motor, so that the output torque as the power tool 10 can be limited. |
