<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological treatment apparatus and a biological treatment method capable of increasing an amount of gas recovered by recovering a gas consumed and remaining in an object to be treated, such as waste materials, wastewater, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The biological treatment apparatus 1 includes: a biological treatment tank 3 for biologically treating a liquid to be treated to generate a gas; and a gas separation tank 5 including a gas separation means disposed at a subsequent stage of the biological treatment tank 3 and having a separation membrane 29 for permeating the gas generated in the biological treatment tank 3, and a pressure-reducing pump 7 for reducing pressure inside the gas separation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
