The proposed method of scanning development of deformations during impact tests, when an impact machine or a falling weight strikes upon front surface of a test specimen, is characterized in that the test specimen is illuminated and deformation, optionally destruction of its reverse surface is scanned in the course of the impact machine or the falling weight impingement by a high-speed camera system. Subsequently, snapshots of the made record are optimized by the post processing methods. Apparatus for making the above-described method (see Fig. 1) comprises a measuring head (1) with a test specimen (2) fixed on the upper surface thereof above a vertical central channel (1a) of the head, in the space of impingement of the impact machine or the falling weight (3). Below the test specimen (2), there are arranged within the lighting channels (5) in the measuring head (1) wall (1) and in the direction to the central channel (1a) cavity, internal light sources (4) outlets of light guides of external light sources. Within the space below the lighting channels (5) opposite to the mouth of a lateral observation channel (1b) to the central channel (1a), there is mounted in inclined manner a mirror (7) the upper reflective surface of which is oriented perpendicularly to the axis of an angle being formed by the axis of the lateral observation channel with the axis of the central channel (1a). In the axis of the lateral observation channel, there is arranged on a camera stand (9) and outside the measuring head (1) a camera (8) of the scanning high-speed camera system. |
