Disclosed is a radar apparatus for an adaptive vehicle. The radar apparatus comprises: a vehicle state detection part detecting information on the state of a vehicle; a radar emitter emitting a radar beam signal and receiving a reflection signal with respect to the emitted signal; and a beam pattern control part controlling the beam pattern of the radar emitter. The beam pattern control part controls the beam pattern based on detection information of the vehicle state detection part. The radar emitter includes multiple arrays spaced from each other. The beam pattern control part includes beam control modules coupled to the multiple arrays, respectively. Each of the beam control modules includes a digital attenuator and a phase shifter. According to the preset invention, a proper beam pattern can be provided depending on the change in the state of the vehicle, and the beam pattern can be properly changed by a single radar device.
