An objective of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for inspecting an edge surface which can be used alone or applied to a vision inspection device for reading an image of a target inspection body to determine whether the target inspection body is defective to determine a fine edge surface of the target inspection body is defective. To achieve the objective, the apparatus for inspecting an edge surface comprises: a laser oscillation unit (10) for releasing a laser for inspection mounted on an end of one side of a frame (20); and a detection screen (30) disposed on an end of the opposite side of the frame (20), to which laser light released from the laser oscillation unit (10) is emitted. An inspection method using the apparatus for inspecting an edge surface comprises: a step (S10) of using a standard inspection body to set a standard measurement value; a step (S20) of measuring a target inspection body; a step (S30) of calculating a difference between measurement values of the target inspection body and the standard inspection body; and a step (S40) of comparing calculated results to determine whether the target inspection body passes. |
