The present invention relates to a smart gas leak detector comprising: a sensor for detecting a gas leak in a specific area; a camera for capturing an image in the specific area; a communication module for communicating with a pre-registered terminal; and a control unit for performing the signal processing and control of the sensor, the camera, and the communication module. The control unit makes a video call to the terminal through the communication module when the gas leak exceeding a preset range is detected by the sensor and transmits the image captured by the camera to the terminal when the terminal answers the video call. Therefore, the smart gas leak detector is not needed to be interlocked with a specific system and can rapidly check the occurrence of an accident and subsequently cope with the accident by including the communication module and the camera to transmit the image of the leak area to the user terminal in real time through the video call to the terminal when detecting the gas leak. Also, the smart gas leak detector can cope with the accident by automatically reporting the accident to an agency, etc. when the user terminal does not answer the video call, and can actively cope with the accident through a three-party call among an accident spot, the user terminal, and the agency when necessary. |
