摘要 The present invention discloses an apparatus and a method for controlling the rotation speed of a direct-current motor armature (113), which is coupled to an adjustable power supply (102), by measuring a D.C. motor's armature voltage (104) and current (108) and measuring its rotation speed using a Hall-effect sensor (109) enable a particular motor's characteristic equation to be determined empirically. After the equation that models (106) a motor is determined, rotation speed can be determined between Hall-effect sensor signals using real-time measurements of armature voltage and current, which are substituted back into the equation. Current and/or voltage can also be adjusted to increase, decrease or maintain rotation speed.
