The present invention cools down an engine and enables the engine to be stopped by controlling a governor to gradually reduce an amount of a fuel introduced to the engine when a defect of an engine control unit (ECU) is detected. According to the present invention, the engine can be safely stopped when there is the defect of the ECU, so that the apparatus can improve safety and increases durability of the engine. Moreover, the apparatus for controlling a governor prevents stopping operation of the engine from being abnormally performed by malfunction caused by a program bug, a defect of a product itself, and a connection error generated when the ECU is assembled or installed. Therefore, the apparatus for controlling a governor can improve stability. |
