The present invention relates to a pedestrian warning system of a vehicle, to protect a pedestrian by generating a virtual engine sound based on an image taken by a thermo-graphic camera of a vehicle, allowing the pedestrian to efficiently perceive approaching of a low noise vehicle. According to the present invention, the pedestrian warning system comprises: a thermo-graphic camera provided in the vehicle to photograph surroundings of the vehicle; a control unit to determine whether the pedestrians are near the vehicle based on the photographed image by the thermo-graphic camera; and a virtual engine sound creation unit provided in the vehicle to generate the virtual engine sound upon detecting the pedestrian near the vehicle, wherein the control unit is able to change the view angle of the thermo-graphic camera corresponding to vehicle speeds. |
