<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind a press-formed lens of optical glass at a lower cost without impairing quality. <P>SOLUTION: A method for grinding an optical glass includes steps for preparing the press-formed glass formed by press-molding the optical glass into a predetermined shape (S5A, S5B), carrying out precise grinding by making a conductive cup grinding wheel having a grinding surface for precise grinding abut on the press-formed glass having a surface to be ground before a rough grinding process and rotating it (S6b), and performing electrolytic in-process dressing that carries out the dressing of a grinding surface by applying a predetermined voltage between an electrode and the cup grinding wheel while supplying a conductive grinding liquid between the electrode arranged at a position opposite to the grinding surface of the cup grinding wheel and the cup grinding wheel during the grinding process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
