The present invention relates to a lithium-sulfur battery. The battery comprises: a positive electrode and a negative electrode arranged to face each other; a separation membrane interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and an electrolyte. The battery has electrical conductivity between the separation membrane and the positive electrode, and comprises a porous membrane, in which the electrolyte can be impregnated. According to the present invention, the lithium-sulfur battery can carry an insufficient electrolyte without a structural change of the positive electrode and the negative electrode during high loading, and provides an advantage of improving energy density by reducing the overvoltage during charging and discharging. In addition, the dissolved polysulfide can be participated in a reaction during charging and discharging by being adsorbed in a porous layer, and provides effects in increasing a capacity.
