The present invention relates to a route search system taking into account a joining point, and more specifically, to a route search system taking into account a joining point which searches for an optimal joining point to provide a route to the joining point if two or more users located at different locations intend to join each other before arriving at a common destination while going to the destination. According to the present invention, the route search system taking into account a joining point comprises: a user information receiving unit to receive information of a plurality of users inputted into navigation devices disposed in transport means of the users; a traffic information receiving unit to receive traffic information such as road control or a traffic congestion situation from a traffic information center; a joining validity determination unit to determine whether joining each other while going to a common destination using the user information and the traffic information to move together is valid; a recommendation area-of-interest guide unit to operate in accordance with a joining validity result; a joining point calculation unit to use the user information and the traffic information to calculate a plurality of joining points; a joining point-based route search unit to perform multiple route searches to the destination based on the joining points; an optimal joining point calculation unit to use results of the multiple route searches to calculate an optimal joining point and a joining route; and a control unit to control each component which uses the user information and the traffic information to calculate the optimal joining point. |
