Classes 83 (2) and 83 (4) [Also in Group XXXVT] A method for connecting a stranded tinnedcopper wire lead 4 to tin foil tape 2 connected to one of the two electrodes of a roll-type condenser comprises folding the tape 2 twice, inserting the lead 4'into the lower fold and pressing the lead and tape together by welding electrodes 5 and 6 which form the jaws of a clamping device (not shown). An appropriate current is passed between the electrodes, thus welding the tin coating of the lead 4 to the tape 2, and the tapes to each other. |
