A system to cut off standby power using a consolidated remote controller and a method thereof are provided. The system comprises: a motion sensor to sense whether a human exists; and a consolidated remote controller configured to remotely control at least two electronic devices, to determine whether a state in which a human is not sensed by the motion sensor continues for a specific period of time, and to cut off power of the electronic devices in a space in which the motion sensor is prepared if the state continues for more than the specific period of time. According to the system to cut off standby power using the consolidated remote controller and the method thereof, the system and method thereof have effects of saving electricity by configuring the system to sense the presence of the human and to cut off the power when the human does not exist for a specific period of time. Also, the system has effects of saving standby power of the consolidated remote controller by cutting off the power if there is no input to the consolidated remote controller. |
