<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device which can realize downsizing, restrains flickers of lighting and circuit losses of a plurality of light-emitting diodes connected in series, and relaxes restrictions on the number of series-connected light-emitting diodes. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply voltage Vdd of a full-wave rectifier circuit 2 is applied as an input voltage Vin between a cathode terminal P7 and an anode terminal P8 of an LED module 4 consisting of light-emitting diodes LED1 to LED4. The anode terminal P8 of the LED module 4 has a charge/discharge capacitor Cx connected thereto via a first reversal stop diode D1. A series circuit of the first reversal stop diode D1 and the charge/discharge capacitor Cx is connected in parallel to a charge/discharge switching element Qx. A first control circuit 6 turns the charge/discharge switching element Qx off when the power supply voltage Vdd exceeds the sum total of the forward voltages of the light-emitting diodes LED1 to LED4, whereby an LED current I1 from the anode terminal P8 is charged to the charge/discharge switching element Qx. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
