PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication device of a rack-pinion mechanism which uniformly lubricates an engagement surface of a rack-pinion over the whole surface.SOLUTION: A rack-pinion mechanism includes a horizontal rack 21A having a lateral tooth 31A and a vertical pinion 22A engaged with the tooth 31A of the rack 21A. A lubricant outflow prevention bank 61 is disposed on a rack top plate 53. The bank 61 is extended in the rack length direction on a place leaving a distance from a rack tooth base to the side opposite to tooth top on the rack top surface 53. The lubricant falls in drops from a supply pipe 71A on the side near the tooth 31A of the rack 21A of both sides of the bank 61 on the rack top surface 53. |
