The present invention relates to a dynamically stable machine tool, comprising:
- a ram (4) in which vibrations are produced according to at least two main bending directions of the ram (4),
- sensors adapted for measuring the magnitude of the vibrations of the ram (4) in the main bending directions, and
- at least two substantially planar-shaped inertial actuators (7), where each inertial actuator (7) is adapted for generating a force (F) in one of the main bending directions of the ram (4), each inertial actuator (7) being integrated on a side face of the ram (4) according to an arrangement substantially parallel to said side face, and where the force (F) generated by each inertial actuator (7) is parallel to the side face of the ram (4) on which it is integrated and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal section of the ram (4), the forces (F) generated by the at least two inertial actuators (7) being orthogonal to one another. |
