PURPOSE:To house a discarded developer in one housing part by carrying the discarded developer recovered by a image carrier cleaner to the housing part of a developer removed by a transfer device cleaner. CONSTITUTION:The discarded developer recovered by the image carrier cleaner 18 is sent to the housing part 26 of the transfer device cleaner 16 and housed therein via a carrying means 20. A carrying screw 19 carrying recovered toner in the longitudinal direction of a photosensitive drum 1 is provided inside the casing 27 of a photosensitive body cleaner 18. An exhaust port 33 is provided on one side part of the casing 27 and connected to one end part of a toner carrying tube 20 used as the carrying means. The other end part of the toner carrying tube 20 is extended to the lower part and connected to a discarded toner housing case 26. Thus, a residual developer can be housed in one housing part,and the frequency of maintenance is reduced. |
