PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for steering control of a vehicle, capable of controlling decrease of behavior stability of a vehicle by controlling divergence of a steering amount of a steer operation element and a turning amount of a turning wheel by a driver, even when operation abnormality in a motor command current operation unit is detected.SOLUTION: A first monitoring unit 46, a second monitoring unit 56 and a third monitoring unit 64 determine, based on the steering motor command current that a first motor command current operation unit 44, a second motor command current operation unit 54, and a third motor command current operation unit 62 have operated, respectively, whether the operation abnormality occurs in the first motor command current operation unit 44 by decision by majority. When an operation abnormality occurs in the first motor command current operation unit 44, a first switching unit 48 and a second switching unit 58 select the steering motor command current that the second motor command current operation unit 54 has operated as a steering motor command current to driving control of a steering motor 2 and a second steering motor 4. |
