The present invention relates to a retardation film and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the retardation film comprises: a substrate film; and a coated layer provided on at least one surface of the substrate film. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a retardation film applicable to an IPS mode liquid crystal display device.
