An embodiment of the present invention relates to a motor control device including: a first power conversion unit for converting an alternating current power into a direct current power; a second power conversion unit for converting the direct current power into an alternating current power to control a motor; a link unit having a link capacitor connected between the first power conversion unit and the second power conversion unit for storing the direct current power; and a motor control unit for controlling the first power conversion unit, wherein the motor control unit controls a link current flowing in the link capacitor to control a link voltage of the link unit. The present invention provides the motor control device capable of reducing a capacity of a capacitor, preventing a sudden change of the link voltage by controlling the link current of the link unit, preventing an inrush current generated when a motor unit is initially driven by initially charging the link unit, and reducing a power loss by breaking a charging current flow in the reverse direction when the link unit is initially charged. |
