The present invention relates to a method and a system for implementing deep packet inspection (DPI), which can efficiently collect large-quantity, high-speed packets to be distributed, can analyze application protocols of the packets, and can reconstruct application data into original data (visible or audible data). A DPI system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a plurality of packet transmission devices which are separately installed in multiple network sections transmitting first packets; a packet aggregator which generates collection meta data by sequentially collecting the first packets, generates merged data by merging collected second packets using the collection meta data, and generates packet dump data using the collection meta data and the merged data; and a packet reconstructor which reconstructs the packet dump data into the first packets.
