The present invention relates to a composite indication charge in tubes for determining phosgene and diphosgene in atmosphere comprising 12 to 80 percent by weight of microcrystalline cellulose, 12 to 80 percent by weight of a metal oxide, preferably magnesium oxide, calcium oxide or titanium oxide, 0.05 to 3 percent by weight of 4-(p-nitrobenzyl)pyridine and 0.1 to 5 percent by weight of N-phenylbenzylamine. The composite indication charge according to the present invention can be used for making detection tubes for immediate proof of phosgene (diphosgene) in atmosphere at concentration from 0.08 mg.me-3 for continuous monitoring thereof for a period of at least 180 minutes. |
