An embodiment of the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting a lock in a fractional-n phase locked loop which comprises: a signal generation unit for generating a phase error signal based on an input signal and an output signal of the fractional-n phase locked loop; a signal delay unit for delaying the phase error signal generated in the signal generation unit; and a lock detection unit for detecting a lock based on the signal delayed in the signal delay unit and the phase error signal generated in the signal generation unit, thereby detecting a lock generated in the fractional-n phase locked loop, and reducing a determination time of a lock occurring status. |
