The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for wrinkle amelioration, containing a Scytosiphon lomentaria extract as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the composition exhibits excellent antioxidant activity and outstanding effects of stimulating the collagen synthesis and inhibiting activity of collagenase (MMP-1) which increases in number after treatment of H_2O_2 onto Haca T which is a human dead skin cell line.
