<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method of producing 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BG) for producing stably the 1,4-BG of high quality excellent as a THF production raw material. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing the 1,4-butanediol is constituted to bring crude 1,4-butanediol containing 70.0 wt.% or more and less than 99.4 wt.% of 1,4-butanediol, and having 7.01 or more of pH, into contact with an acid, and to obtain refined 1,4-butanediol having 5.5 or more to 6.99 or less of pH, by distilling an obtained crude 1,4-butanediol-containing liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
