The object of the invention is a highly efficient method of treatment municipal waste by biological drying - biodrying of mixed municipal waste, mechanically separating solid recovered fuel (SRF) for energy recovery, separating waste for material recycling and biological stabilisation - biostabilisation of biologically degradable waste fractions in order to obtain fuel intended for energy recovery, separation of plastics, metals, paper for material recycling, separation of biologically stabilised fine fraction having properties similar to the compost for use in landfill rehabilitation and environmentally safe storage of stabilised residual waste fraction.
