The invention relates to a method for heating energy storage cells of an energy storage device having a plurality of energy storage modules connected in series in at least one energy supply line, each of which comprises an energy storage cell module having at least one energy storage cell, and a coupling device having coupling elements which are designed to switch the energy storage cell module selectively into the respective energy supply line or to bypass the energy storage cell. The method comprises the steps of transmitting electrical energy from the energy storage cell module of at least one first energy storage module in a DC voltage intermediate circuit coupled to the energy storage device by controlling the coupling device of the first energy storage module for coupling the energy storage cell module of the first energy storage module to the DC voltage intermediate circuit for a first predetermined time period, and transmitting the electrical energy transmitted in the DC voltage intermediate circuit into the energy storage cell module of at least one second energy accumulator module by controlling the coupling device of the second energy storage module for coupling the energy storage cell module of the second energy storage module to the d.c. voltage intermediate circuit for a second predetermined time period, after the first predetermined time period has expired. |
