The present invention relates to an apparatus to recover a byproduct in a nickel wet-smelting process, and a method to recover a byproduct in the nickel wet-smelting process using the same. More specifically, the apparatus to recover the byproduct in the nickel wet-smelting process uses an acidic solution to recover nickel from nickel ore containing nickel and iron, and comprises: an evaporative concentration device to evaporate and concentrate an iron ion-containing solution discharged after recovering nickel; a crystallization device to crystallize a concentrated solution discharged from the evaporative concentration device; a solid-liquid separator to separate iron salt crystallized by the crystallization device, and a remaining slurry solution into solid and liquid; a pyrolysis device to pyrolyze the crystallized iron salt into acidic gas and iron oxide at a roasting temperature; and a gas and solid separator connected to a gas discharge unit disposed on an upper portion of the pyrolysis device, separating iron oxide powder contained in the acidic gas, and discharging the acidic gas. |
