The present invention relaters to an apparatus, method, and computer program for providing an electronic mail service, which enable an image attached to a mail to be provided to a user normally. An embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus for providing an electronic mail service, the apparatus providing one or more received mails to one or more registered users, the apparatus comprising: a mail reading request reception unit which receives a mail reading request for reading of a first mail; an image presence determination unit which determines whether an image has been attached to the first mail; an image loading determination unit which, if, as a result of the determination of whether an image has been attached to the first mail, it is determined that a first image has been attached to the first mail, determines whether the first image can be loaded; an image search unit which, if, as a result of the determination of whether the first image can be loaded, it is determined that the first image cannot be loaded, searches for identification information of the mail or a second image matching image information included in the first image in a database; and a mail provision unit which causes the second image to be attached to the first mail based on a result of the searching, and provides the first mail. |
