The present invention relates to a steel coating method of using an environmentally-friendly heavy duty steel paint composition, which is environmentally-friendly and improves mechanical properties when painting steel. The method comprises a surface treatment step and a step of coating water-soluble epoxy-based anti-corrosive paint composed of a main agent and a curing agent, and a step of coating a water-soluble urethane-based anti-corrosive paint, thereby being environmentally-friendly and improving workability by solubilizing the paint composition in water, while reducing work time by rapidly drying, increasing adhesion between coating and a material, and having excellent water resistance, and having excellent weather resistance, water resistance, durability, and ultraviolet stability even under an outside exposure condition.
