Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for providing authentication information using a CAPTCHA. The apparatus for providing authentication information using a CAPTCHA according to the present invention comprises: an input image acquisition unit which acquires an input image drawn by a user via a touch screen of a terminal device; a mapping table generation unit which generates a mapping table including one-to-one correspondence relationships with individual points of the touch screen; a data conversion unit which converts the input image into an input data form based on the one-to-one correspondence relationships using the mapping table; and a CAPTCHA authentication unit which performs a CAPTCHA using the input data and an authentication image received from an authentication server, and transmits an authentication result, corresponding to a result of the CAPTCHA, to the authentication server.
