The purpose of the present invention is to provide a smart fan using an Arduino-based distance/temperature/humidity sensor interworking with a portable terminal, which can remotely be controlled by a portable terminal, and whose driving can actively be controlled depending on changes in temperature and humidity information, and information about a distance from an object after detecting the information in real time, and a driving method thereof. In order to achieve this purpose, the smart fan using an Arduino-based distance/temperature/humidity sensor interworking with a portable terminal comprises: a rotary driving unit (110) which generates variable air volume using a rotary blade (111), a rotary shaft (112), a first step motor (113), a second step motor (114), a height adjusting unit (115), and a driving control unit (116) depending on a change in temperature or humidity; a sensor unit (120) which is included in the rotary driving unit (110), and is equipped with at least one sensor for detecting the temperature, the humidity, and an object; an information processing unit (130) which controls the driving control unit (116) in the rotary driving unit (110) to generate variable air volume from the rotary blade (111) depending on temperature and humidity information, and object detection information provided by the sensor unit; and a communications unit (140) which interworks with the portable terminal via a wireless interface, wherein the information processing unit (130) is controlled by a control signal provided by the portable terminal. |
