A power converting system produces an input signal regulated with respect to an input signal. The power converting system has a first inductive element having a first node coupled to an input node, and a second inductive element having a first node coupled to an output node. A first switching element is coupled to a second node of the first inductive element. A first capacitive element is coupled between the second node of the first inductive element and of the second inductive element. A control circuit sets a duty cycle of the first switching element to a first value for providing the output signal of a first polarity responsive to the input signal of the first polarity, and to set the duty cycle of the first switching element to a second value for providing the output signal of a second polarity responsive to the input signal of the first polarity. |

1. A power converting system responsive to an input signal to produce an output signal regulated with respect to the input signal, the system comprising:
an input node for receiving the input signal, an output node for producing the output signal, a first inductive element having a first node coupled to the input node, a second inductive element having a first node coupled to the output node, a first switching element coupled to a second node of the first inductive element, a second switching element coupled directly between the first node of the first inductive element and a second node of the second inductive element, a first capacitive element coupled between the second node of the first inductive element and the second node of the second inductive element, and a control circuit for controlling the first switching element, the control circuit being configured to set a duty cycle of the first switching element to a first value for providing the output signal of a first polarity in response to the input signal of the first polarity, and to set the duty cycle of the first switching element to a second value for providing the output signal of a second polarity in response to the input signal of the first polarity. |
