Provided is a method to manufacture high aspect ratio silver nanowires wherein a total glycol concentration is less than 0.001 wt% at all times during the method. The low oxygen silver nanowire manufacturing method comprises: a step of providing a container; a step of providing water; a step of providing reducing sugar; a step of providing polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP); a step of providing a source of a copper ion; a step of providing a source of halide ion; a step of providing a source of a silver ion; a step of spraying inert gas to the source of the silver ion; a step of forming a combination; a step of providing reduced oxygen concentration into a steam space of the container; a step of heating the combination at 110-160°C; a step of forming the growing combination; a step of providing the obtained combination; and a step of recovering silver nanowires. |
