The present invention relates to a method for controlling an exhaust gas purification apparatus which can enhance fuel efficiency by inactivating an LNT and accordingly not performing post-injection if all of an SCR and the LNT are not required to be activated when an exhaust gas purification apparatus of a vehicle on which the SCR and LNT are mounted is controlled. To this end, an embodiment according to the present invention provides the method for controlling the exhaust gas purification apparatus of the vehicle on which the SCR, the LNT and an urea solution supplier, which comprises the steps of: determining whether a total fuel injection amount exceeds a setup amount while an engine is driven; determining whether regeneration efficiency of the SCR is equal to or greater than a setup value; determining whether a setup condition for turning off regeneration of the LNT is satisfied; and turning off the regeneration of the LNT if the total fuel injection amount exceeds the setup amount, the regeneration efficiency of the SCR is equal to or greater than the setup value or the setup condition for turning off the regeneration of the LNT is satisfied. |
